1. Applicable regulations

Our Privacy Policy has been designed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and other applicable legislation on personal data protection.

2. Data controller

The Wise Seeker S.L., Tax ID B88209929, Calle Almagro nº1, 2ª izda., 28010 Madrid, Spain, telephone +34 91 9152400, owner of the website https://thewiseskill.com, has appointed a Data Protection Officer who can be contacted regarding any matter related to this Policy at the following email address: protecciondedatos@thewiseseeker.com.

3. Categories of personal data collected

We collect only the data voluntarily provided by users interested in our services, for commercial support and to send information, such as: first and last name; email address; contact phone; company and job title (if applicable); other data voluntarily provided in contact forms. We do not collect sensitive data. We also collect personal data when you accept the use of cookies that collect browsing data for analytical and advertising purposes. See the Cookies section.

The user warrants that the data provided is true, accurate, complete and up to date.

We also collect data obtained from social networks such as LinkedIn and Instagram, exclusively from public profiles and for strategic and sector analysis purposes, following good corporate publication practices: only professional and verifiable information, avoiding subjective assessments and respecting honor rights.

In particular, the categories of data obtained from public sources may include: first and last name, professional position, company, public professional career, statements made on corporate or professional profiles, and other information strictly linked to the professional sphere.

Source of data (art. 14 GDPR): when data is not provided directly by the data subject, it comes from public LinkedIn or Instagram profiles, corporate websites, digital media outlets, official reports, or publicly accessible professional publications.

4. Purpose of processing and legal basis

The personal data collected will be processed for the following purposes, mainly based on the consent of the data subject:

  • Manage requests for information, contact, demos and partnerships, and event registrations, made through the website.
  • Provide commercial information and respond to inquiries.
  • Send communications regarding services that may be of interest, always with prior express authorization.
  • Analyze the use of the site and improve its performance (through analytical cookies).
  • Show personalized advertising on third-party platforms if you have consented to the use of behavioral cookies.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Produce strategic analysis publications on leadership, talent and skills-based organizational models, including information obtained from public social networks, respecting a neutral tone, informative purposes, and recording the source and type of data. References to executives and companies are made using exclusively public information (corporate websites, public LinkedIn, media outlets, official reports).
  • Management of corporate social media, attending to direct messages and comments and engaging in professional interaction with users.

The legal basis for processing is:

  • Consent when the user agrees to submit the form or to use non-technical cookies.
  • Compliance with legal obligations to comply with applicable regulations.
  • Legitimate interest of the controller (art. 6.1.f GDPR) to maintain the security of the website, manage professional contacts, and produce sector strategic analysis based exclusively on professional information voluntarily published in public sources. Processing based on legitimate interest is grounded in the company's professional positioning and the generation of sector analysis of an informative nature. A prior balancing test has been carried out between such interest and the rights and freedoms of data subjects, considering that: (i) the data is strictly professional; (ii) it has been voluntarily published on public profiles; (iii) the processing is descriptive and not evaluative; and (iv) no automated profiling or automated decisions with legal effects are carried out.

The user may withdraw consent at any time by sending an email to info@thewiseskill.com.

5. Retention period

Personal data will be retained as long as the commercial relationship is maintained or there is an interest in maintaining contact, and for the years necessary to comply with legal obligations. Cookie and local storage data, depending on the type (see the Cookies section).

Data obtained from social networks will be retained only as long as it is relevant for strategic analysis and professional publication purposes, and will subsequently be deleted or anonymized according to internal records.

In any case, data obtained from public sources will be retained for a maximum period equivalent to the validity of the corresponding publication and may subsequently be kept blocked solely to address possible legal liabilities.

6. Disclosure of data

Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties, except for legal obligations or express authorization of the data subject. However, we use third-party analytics and advertising tools (PostHog, Google Analytics and lapersona.ai for analytics; Google Ads, LinkedIn and Metricool for advertising), which only collect browsing information through cookies if you accept them (see the Cookies section). We use social media platforms (Meta, LinkedIn), which act as joint controllers or independent controllers according to their own policies.

Regarding the management of corporate profiles on social networks, there may be a situation of limited joint controllership with respect to the processing of statistical and interaction data (for example, usage metrics or “insights”), in accordance with applicable regulations and the conditions established by each platform. Subsequent processing carried out by such platforms is governed by their own privacy policies.

7. International transfers

Some providers (such as Google, Meta or PostHog) are located, or may process data, outside the European Economic Area. Adequate safeguards apply, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or adequacy decisions.

The use of platforms such as LinkedIn or Instagram may involve international transfers of data outside the European Economic Area, under the adequate safeguards established by such platforms in accordance with applicable regulations.

8. Data subject rights

Users have the right to access, rectify and delete their data, as well as other rights recognized by current regulations (restriction, objection, portability and not to be subject to automated decisions). To exercise these rights, they may write to the email address: protecciondedatos@thewiseseeker.com

If their requests are not addressed, they may file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

When data has been obtained from public sources and processed on the basis of legitimate interest, the data subject may object to the processing at any time, and processing must cease unless compelling legitimate grounds are demonstrated that prevail over their rights, or for the formulation, exercise or defense of claims.

9. Cookies

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser; local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) does a similar job. By default, thewiseskill.com only uses what is strictly necessary; analytics and advertising only store cookies or identifiers once you accept analytics or advertising cookies. A notice asks you the first time you visit, and you can change your choice at any time. This is what we use, by category. Durations of third-party cookies are those published by each provider and may change.

Necessary (no consent required)

  • tws_consent (first-party, localStorage). Stores your choice about analytics and advertising cookies, and its date, so we don't ask you again. It is kept until you change it or clear this site's data.
  • __Host-tws_admin (first-party). Keeps the website's admin panel session open. It is only set for TWS team members who sign in at /admin; website visitors never receive it. It lasts 7 days or until the session is closed.

Campaign attribution · tws_attribution (first-party, sessionStorage). If you arrive from a campaign, it stores the campaign parameters (utm_*, Google Ads gclid or LinkedIn li_fat_id), the website you came from and the first page you visit. It is not a cookie, it does not identify you, and it is deleted when you close the tab. It only leaves your browser if you submit the demo or partner form (it is stored with your request) or click “Start your diagnosis” (the campaign parameters travel in the link to the platform).

Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Ltd.). Loads the Google Analytics tags and the advertising tags in the lists below. It loads if you accept at least one of the two categories, analytics or advertising, and it uses Google's consent mode (Consent Mode v2) so that each tag respects what you have accepted. It sets no cookies of its own.

Analytics (only if you accept analytics cookies)

  • PostHog (PostHog Inc., on its EU cloud). Measures which pages are visited and how the website is used. Before you choose, it counts visits without storing anything in your browser: it uses a random identifier that is discarded on every page load and cannot recognize you later. If you reject analytics, nothing is sent. If you accept, it stores an identifier in local storage and in the ph_<key>_posthog cookie for one year, to recognize your later visits.
  • lapersona.ai. Measures the pages you visit and the time you spend on each. It sets the first-party lp_sid cookie, an identifier for your browser, for 90 days. If you submit a form on the website, it also receives your name, email, company, website and job title (never free-text messages).
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd., properties G-P6TDSGLRER and G-60TV9HVH4E, through Google Tag Manager). Measures visits, the pages viewed and time on the site. If you also accept advertising cookies, it also counts clicks on the main buttons and submitted forms. Cookies: _ga and _ga_<id>, 2 years.

Advertising (only if you accept advertising cookies)

  • Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd., account AW-598555820), with its conversion linker. Measures which ads bring visits and inquiries. Cookies: _gcl_au and, if you arrive from an ad, _gcl_aw, 90 days; plus a copy of the click identifier in local storage (_gcl_ls).
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company). Measures visits and conversions from LinkedIn campaigns and lets us show ads to people who have already visited the website. On this domain: li_fat_id (30 days), li_giant (7 days), _guid (90 days) and ln_or (1 day). On LinkedIn's domain: bcookie (1 year), lidc (1 day), UserMatchHistory and AnalyticsSyncHistory (30 days) and li_sugr (90 days). Details in its cookie table.
  • Metricool (Metricool Software S.L.). Measures visits coming from our campaigns and social media. It sets no cookies: it sends Metricool the page address, the referring website and the window size.

Google describes its cookies in its cookie policy. We do not use session recording tools or the Meta pixel.

Videos and social media profiles are linked and open on their own websites; they are not embedded here, so they do not set cookies on this site.

How to withdraw your consent. You can withdraw it or change your choice at any time with the “Change preferences” button in this section or from the “Cookies” link in the footer. You can also delete this site's cookies and data in your browser settings. If you need help, email us at info@thewiseskill.com.

10. Modifications to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy to adapt it to legislative developments or improvements in our services, publishing the new version on this site.
